Lili is ons vrolijke dochtertje van 18 maanden. Achter haar glimlach schuilt een zware strijd: ze lijdt aan SPG50, een uiterst zeldzame genetische ziekte. Deze ziekte tast haar hersenen en spieren aan, waardoor ze zonder behandeling haar vermogen om te lopen, te praten en zelfstandig te leven zal verliezen. Toch geeft Lili niet op... ze leert brabbelen, trekt zich recht en probeert te stappen. Er bestaat hoop: een nieuwe gentherapie kan de ziekte stoppen of vertragen en haar een toekomst geven. Lili is our cheerful 18-month-old daughter. Behind her smile lies a difficult struggle: she suffers from SPG50, an extremely rare genetic disease. This condition affects her brain and muscles, and without treatment she will lose the ability to walk, speak, and live independently.
Yet Lili does not give up… she is learning to babble, pulling herself up, and trying to take her first steps.
