Jenn Haines opened the Dragon in 1998, in downtown Guelph, Ontario. She has been a pillar in the community for over 20 years! She volunteers her time and energy to many. Kids, schools, the downtown business association and many industry groups.
2020 has been a rough year for many with this pandemic. Just like many other businesses, she has struggled to keep the bills paid, staff taken care of and rent paid.
Her family has been working hard, filling orders online, driving and delivering to customers, all the while bringing along her two young girls.
The government subsidies have kept the stores going until now, but these funds are ending shortly. Her landlords need her to pay rent on her stores and only one of the three qualified for help.
She has received payroll relief for 75% of her staff, but with the extra work needed to keep afloat during this time, it is really more like 50%.
Expenses are way higher than what is currently being brought in, Jenn and Robert are drained. They can not work any harder than they already have, and sleepless nights of worry is making it even harder.
They need help!
Let us as a community work to help them out. To help out a family, to help a local business stay alive.
