As many of you may have seen in the news, a fire took place Monday evening. Unfortunately, the fire occurred at my mom’s apartment. First and foremost, Mom, Eva, and Leslie are safe, and for that we are beyond grateful.

They say to expect the unexpected, and this was truly unexpected. While they lost everything, the most important thing—their lives—was not lost. The apartment held so many precious memories, from our childhood to Eva’s upbringing, and that loss is deeply felt.

I understand that everyone is facing their own struggles in life, but if there is anything anyone is able to do to help get things moving and help Mom make her new space feel like home again, it would be greatly appreciated. Mom is loved by many, and as she always says, “A prayer goes a long way.”

If you’re unable to help in any other way, please keep us in your prayers. We trust that God never removes something without replacing it with something even better.
