Hiya you lovely humans, my name is Alexandra and I am a volunteer for Streetworx, ran by two beautiful people, Joanne & Paul. 

(That’s me gorgey mother on the right, she also volunteers).

We have a number of volunteers and between us we have two storage units where we have people who sort and organise the donations, and we have some that go out every Saturday night & Sunday morning with hot drinks, water, clothing, toiletries, blankets, dog food/coats, sleeping bags and most importantly, prayer and kindness. Too many people walk past and feel the need to ignore, but most the time, our friends are just happy to have a friendly face to have a bit crack on with, no judgement, and that's what we do, and I love it! And I have met some amazing people in doing so.

On the 17th October it will be the 3rd year that I am joining other amazing humans to do a 12h sleepout at Hebburn Rugby club in aid to raise funds and awareness.

Now, by no means do we think this is anywhere close to what our friends on the streets experience, but the money we raise by doing this goes directly to Streetworx so we can continue to help our friends on the street.
