Keep The Lost Legion Alive

On March 15, 2020 the Cheltenham American Legion Post #497, known as The Lost Legion to most, had to close due to the COVID-19. During these trying times, we are unable to generate income and the bills are still coming in. On top of the monthly bills, the state has made it extremely difficult to postpone specific fees that most bars accumulate. We here at the lost legion are asking for a donation to stay alive.

The lost legion has been open on Jenkintown road since the 1960’s. It has been a part of Cheltenham Village since the 40’s. Helping our veterans and community along the way. In recent years we volunteer our time with Cheltenham township’s only Memorial Day service, as well as leading the 4th of July Parade. We’ve provided food and fun for our local boy scout troop 22 and have assisted fellow veteran organizations. We care about and open our doors to the Police, Firefighters and EMT’s on holidays, offering food and fun for them and their families. The Cheltenham American Legion is a place to not only remember and honor the sacrifices made by America’s brave men and women, but to also embrace and enjoy the freedoms they fought so hard to protect. We serve our community with a smile, helping to create memories along the way.

If you find yourself in a position to donate, or even if you just find a little change in your couch, we are humbly asking for your help. Every penny counts and with some work from our veterans and members, and a little luck, we’ll be open before you know it! In the meantime, please stay safe, positive and keep your eyes open for a few virtual surprises coming from the Lost Legion!
