In May, I’m taking on the 496km challenge.
I’ll be running, walking, cycling & rowing for 496km across 31 days: Day 1 - 1km, Day 2 - 2km.. finishing with 31km on the 31st.
This is all in memory of my dad, Eamon Gill.
One thing I always remember is how proud he was of me when I achieved something through sport, which is a big part of why I’m doing this to help me feel closer to him.
I will also be giving up alcohol for the entire month. He struggled with alcohol mainly towards the end of his life, and it had a huge impact on his life and the people around him.
This challenge is my way of pushing myself, staying disciplined, and feeling that connection to him every day throughout the month.
I’m raising money for Turning Point. An organisation doing incredible work supporting people and families affected by addiction. Their services provide treatment, research, and real help for those going through what my dad did.
If you’re able to support, even a small donation goes a long way.
Whether it’s $5 or $50, it all adds up and helps make a difference.
If you can’t donate, sharing this page or following along with the journey means just as much.
I’ll be posting updates throughout the month so you can follow the progress (and hold me accountable ).
Thanks so much for the support ❤️
