As we step into 2025, Ady and Dan are challenging themselves—and we need your support! Starting bright and early on New Year’s Day, they will be taking on the 4x4x48 Challenge, a grueling endurance test popularized by David Goggins, to raise funds for Heysham Atoms Amateur Rugby Club—a local community team that has provided years of sporting camaraderie, development, and opportunity to the youth and adults in our area.

Here’s the Challenge:

Beginning at 8:00 AM on January 1st, 2025, Ady and Dan will run 4 miles every 4 hours, day and night, for a full 48 hours. That’s 12 runs in total, covering 48 miles by the end of the challenge. Unlike a single marathon, this event requires participants to push through extreme fatigue and sleeplessness. Each 4-mile leg will test their physical endurance, and the constant cycle of running and short rest periods will challenge their mental resilience. This isn’t just about covering miles—it’s about mental toughness, perseverance, and dedication, just like what Heysham Atoms players show every time they step onto the pitch.

Ady and Dan are dedicating this effort specifically to raise funds for new kits for the Under 14s team—and any additional funds will go toward supporting the club’s ongoing operations, like coaching, training, and facility maintenance, ensuring that Heysham Atoms can continue their invaluable work in the community.
