Starting Tuesday, May 27th at 8 AM, I’m taking on a challenge to raise awareness for Mental Health Awareness Month — running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. That’s right: 48 miles in 2 days. Why? Because mental health matters — and too many of our students and families are still struggling with basic needs and emotional support. Some of you might remember during COVID, I did this challenge to help East Meadow families in need. I’m bringing it back — this time, to raise both awareness and support for mental health and the ongoing challenges our community faces. This isn’t just a physical challenge — it’s about pushing through the hard times, something we’ve all faced or witnessed in others. Exercise helped me through my own dark moments, and I want to use that strength to give back. Final run ends Thursday, May 29th at 8 AM at the East Meadow High School track. Come out and cheer if you can! Please consider donating to help support local students and families. Every bit counts. Let’s make a difference together. #MentalHealthAwareness #48forMentalHealth #EastMeadowStrong #4x4x48Challenge
