Help Us Get Back On Our Feet

Donation protected
I'd like to first start off with saying that this is absolutely humiliating and a last ditch attempt at keeping our car and SOME stability to our lives. December of 2017 I found out I was pregnant with Astrid, who is now 9 months old. In her 9 months of life, I've mainly stayed home due to daycare costs, as I didn't think we'd qualify for assistance (which we do and I feel dumb now) and Lucas has struggled to keep us afloat on his own, working from the time he wakes up to when he goes to bed on some days. Well, our "afloat" wasn't really afloat, as we realized a few days ago when we woke up to find our car was repossessed. Lucas uses our vehicle to do Doordash, Ubereats, etc., just some of the many ridesharing apps out there you've probably heard of. I had an interview that morning I had worked pretty hard to get that I missed, and needless to say I lost the offer that could've been. Well, flash forward to today, we've now rented a car for a short term, as we definitely can't afford a long term at once, and I've had one interview with a job offer, and another tomorrow. We made an irresponsible decision that we thought was right when I was pregnant in getting a safe car for our daughter to come home in, and although at the time of buying the car, we could afford it, we didn't think I was going to end up going on leave from work due to pregnancy problems not even a few weeks later, but by then, the time to take the car back had came and went. I'm not expecting anybody to take pity on us, and I've looked into almost every option aside from just outright giving up and letting them keep the car, even listing that I could help with household projects, cleaning, any service possible that I was qualified to do while also applying to every job I could land my eyes on. I don't want to give up hope. I don't want 7 years of damages to stop us from purchasing a home in the future, or to stop me from being able to obtain any education loans for college. I want something better for our daughter, and I feel like right now, this is the last option, at least for the night, as tomorrow is a new day, and I do hope it's better than yesterday.

As I didn't include this in the long portion of the post, the amount we have to pay is in the realm of $2500 give or take due to the towing fees, the extra $500 is to allow us a cushion to pay another month on our car payment or reinstate our car insurance while I begin my new job(s) and work side jobs in order to get us fully caught up on all of our bills.

Thank you to anyone who even reads this, even if you can't help financially, please feel free to give advice on what we should do. Lucas, Astrid and I appreciate every single one of you.
