Chiquis Medical Bills

Hi friends

As many of you know, I adopted Chiqui in December 2020, which was one of the best decisions i have ever made. Chiqui has gotten me through grad school, through tough emotional times, and has shown so much love to me in the short time i have had her.

Chiqui has had no prior medical issues, but about a month ago I noticed some swelling under her jaw. As I got worried I took her to the vet and after a cytology it was revealed that she has lymphoma.

Lymphoma in dogs is extremely aggressive with the best treatments, dogs get about one year. With the treatment plan for Chiqui as of now, she has about 6-9 months of time left with us. As I wish I could have done the more extensive treatment for her, chemotherapy is extremely costly, as I have spent around $2000 already for her treatments. The oncologists have projected a cost around 5-6000 for the duration of her treatments and her routine checkups that will be required for her time going forward.

Many of you have shown Chiqui so much love and for that I am very grateful. If you are able to contribute even a small amount, I will be extremely thankful as this treatment has put me into so much debt already. I want to enjoy the time I have left with her in the best way that I can.
