hi my names Jakayla, This fundraiser is dedicated to raising awareness and supporting breast cancer research in honour of my mum. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 and, after a long and difficult journey, beat cancer in 2015. In late 2021, she was devastatingly diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, meaning it was terminal. Her story is a powerful reminder that breast cancer can return and progress, even years later. She bravely fought for as long as she could and passed away on December 9th, 2025. By sharing her journey, i hope to raise awareness about early detection, ongoing research, and the hope to save other families from the absolute heartbreak to lose someone to this awful cancer. Every donation helps fund research and brings us one step closer to better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
