Urgent Appeal: Rebuilding After Hurricane Melessia in Ulster Spring, Jamaica
My name is Natalie Johnson, and I am reaching out to everyone I know for help. My childhood community of Ulster Spring, Trelawny, Jamaica W.I. has been absolutely devastated by Hurricane Melessia.
The damage is heartbreaking, and several homes—including the one I grew up in—are now facing an emergency.
The Critical Need: Lost Roofs and Severe Damage
The hurricane didn't just cause minor damage; it ripped the roofs right off of many houses in Ulster Spring. My grandfather's house, where I was raised, is among those that lost its roof entirely. This kind of damage is catastrophic, leaving the home exposed to the elements and destroying everything inside.
This house is incredibly dear to me and my siblings. It's where all our memories are rooted. Fixing it, along with the numerous other houses in the community that have suffered the same severe blow, will cost a fortune.
Where Your Donation Goes
The people of Ulster Spring are family. We are raising funds to address the most urgent and costly repairs:
• Replacing the missing roofs for my grandfather's house and other homes in the community, providing immediate shelter and security.
• Repairing structural damage to ensure the houses are safe and livable again.
Please, any help you can offer will go directly toward helping us restore safety and dignity to the families of Ulster Spring. Every dollar brings us closer to putting a roof back over their heads.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support. Please share this with anyone who might be able to help.
Any donation is greatly appreciated.
With gratitude,
Natalie Johnson
