Support Saratoga Horsemen After Tragic Fire
0% complete
$118,406 raised of
760 donations
In the very early morning hours of June 16th, a fire started in one of the barns at the Saratoga Harness Track. Employees were just arriving to feed and start cleaning stalls when they saw the fire and alerted the connections of those horses. Unfortunately, the fire spread too fast and too quickly, claiming the lives of 18 horses inside the barn.
While money and donations mean nothing in the loss of the family members of these horsemen, we hope that it can give them some sense of hope for the future and in rebuilding. Nothing will replace the horses, no words can help fix this and nothing in the world will make a difference. The donations will only help in the aftermath as these horsemen have not only lost their loved ones, but their entire stables and livelihoods.
The fundraiser is for the affected horsemen: Robyn Mangiardi, Tim Benson, Abigail Adsit, and Chris Long as well as the caretakers Laura Mangiardi, Cheyanne Mandy, and Paola Cermeno. They are horsemen at the Saratoga Harness Track who were impacted by this tragic fire, losing their horses and everything inside of their barn. The money will be transferred into a bank account and it will be divided accordingly between the above seven names, sent directly to each of them.
