Meet the 458 Mural Project Design team. This group of talented artists from WVU will be creating a legacy of their work this spring in Downtown Morgantown, WV. This building was previously vandalized by graffiti. From that crime rose the vison to see what a perfect canvas this alley could be for an interactive mural as well as a place to showcase the work of some of the talented artists in the area. The design will represent the great state of WV, Morgantown and WVU. To borrow a phrase, we are making lemonade out of lemons! This mural can become a reason for friends and family of students and other visitors to stop by and snap a photo or two as a keepsake. There are many people working to bring new businesses and customers back to the once thriving downtown area. With this artwork we hope to make our contribution and make the corner of High St and Forest a beautiful place and part of the continuing history of Morgantown! The artists are donating their time and talents. Please help them offset the cost of paint and supplies.
