Help Lincoln Hear

Around 1 year of age Lincoln started getting ear infections like crazy! It was very hard to treat them.  He had tubes placed in December 2019. Immediately he was much happier and ear infection free. Afterwards Lincoln started Speach therapy and OT. 7 months later He still has no words. He had many tests done and we traveled to a few different doctors. Finally Strong Hospital did a sedated brain stem hearing test. Lincoln has definite hearing loss in his Left ear. His right ear looks pretty good but the test is only an estimate. Therefore it is recommended that Lincoln gets a hearing aid. We were unable to receive funding from the state and insurance isn’t required to pay for hearing aids, even for children . The hearing aid is estimated to be around $2,360 if we can get a discount from the company who makes it. If not it will be around $3,000. Our boy has gone through so much poking and prodding.
