hello, my name’s Chloe. This isn’t something I’d usually post and I never imagined I’d ever be writing something like this. My beautiful mum, Emma, has recently been diagnosed with bowel, liver, and ovarian cancer. Yesterday , we were given the devastating news that doctors believe she may only have around 12 months left with us. We have been given false hope of chemotherapy only extending her life not curing it, therefore a second option is non negotiable. Your support will help us achieve this and give us this opportunity to hopefully help cure her through private treatment.
Our mum is everything to us — my best friend, my safe place, and the strongest woman I know. Even after receiving this heartbreaking news, she’s determined to keep fighting in her own way, to stay positive, and to make the very most of every single day we still have together.
We had our appointment with someone yesterday who said there was nothing they could do, except possibly extend mums life from 1 year to maybe 2 if they’re able to shrink the cancer. Unfortunately we won't see oncologist for another 3 weeks, and then possibly start chemo 30 days after that. That's 2 months gone out of the 12 months they've given mum. We are wanting to go for a second opinion as from our own research, we believe there are other options to give mum a fighting chance. The appointment yesterday, they have given mum no hope, we need to fight this with everything we have, this unfortunately comes at a cost.
