43200. That’s how many minutes are in the month of November. It is also approximately the number of men that will commit suicide this month. Roughly one man commits suicide a minute which is an extremely saddening statistic. This is one of the reasons why we have decided to fundraise for the brilliant charity that is Movember. We will be doing this to help fund research and support programmes, however this is not our only goal. We are also aiming to raise awareness for issues such as men’s mental health, prostate cancer and testicular cancer and promote conversation among men about themselves and their mental health. That is why we (Leo, Preston, Jude, Brodie, Malachi, Connor), members of UOWMF (University of Worcester Men’s Football), will be walking 43200 steps on the 24th of November.
