Within the last two years, my family has faced immeasurable loss. My sister Elizabeth passed away last year in June. This year, in September, my mother Maria Luisa Buzo has passed away. Both my mom and sister passed away because of complications with metastatic breast cancer.

My mom was someone in her community that was a maternal figure to everyone around her. She was wise beyond her years and had knowledge that only can come from a kind heart shaped by not so kind experiences. My mom was the homemaker for many years. She was a nanny and raised over 25 kids in her communities, along with her 4 children of her own: Luis, Maria, Elizabeth, and Cristobal.

Maria Buzo was the woman you would go to for real, honest advice with a huge amount of love and a little bit of laughter.

It was only a year ago that we asked for assistance and were so graciously helped. Please, if you are able to give, we ask that you help our family as we go through difficult times once again. Thank you.
