On Saturday, 14th December 2024, I will embark on a 40-mile cycling journey with the support of brothers from the Wallington Riders group. Together, we’ll cycle from Sutton to Richmond Park, complete 3 full laps, and return home, all for an incredible cause.
This effort is dedicated to raising £2,000 for the Belmont and Sutton Muslim Assembly's urgent appeal to build a new community centre in Belmont, Sutton.
Why this project matters:
Our growing community has outgrown its temporary space, and this new centre will serve as a permanent home for:
- A place for daily prayers, Ramadan, and Jumu’ah services
- A community hub for Qur’an classes and family events.
- A lifelong resource for all.
- An activity center for developing youth.
- Engaging with all types of community around.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to secure a unique plot of land in Belmont, Sutton. To complete the purchase, we need to raise £915,000 by 16th December 2024.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
