I'm going to Nicaragua with a group from my school, Keuka college. This trip is organized through the 4 Walls Project. This is an organization that puts groups together from all over and sends them to poorer countries in order to make a difference by building houses for eligible families. While we will be building houses, we (as a group) are also responsible for raising the money for the materials for them. It's roughly $2000 per house. The more that I can fundraise, the more I will be able to put in that fund for our group. With that being said, every penny donated is appreciated and it is all going to a worthy cause!
