Do you want to join us in making a difference? We are raising money in aid of THE DEAL MEMORIAL BANDSTAND TRUST

We are 4 ladies Barbara, Rose, Helen and Teresa with a love of walking and keeping fit as we get older and start to retire. We all met through the Deal Walk & Talk Group (DWT) founded by the late Steve Bush.

This is the 3rd year we have decided to give ourselves a challenge. This year we are walking The Ridgeway, Overton Hill to Ivinghoe Beacon which runs along the chalk ridge. The trail was opened in 1973 although it has been in use for at least 5,000 years and is often described as Britain's oldest road. Approx 87 miles in distance, of moderate terrain which is normally walked over 6-9 days but we are hoping to complete it over 5.5 days.

We like to raise money each year for local small charities to benefit the local community. This year we have chosen The Deal Memorial Bandstand Trust which puts on weekly concerts over the summer and was built as a Memorial to the lives lost in the Deal Bombing in 1989.
