Hi, my name is Emilie Cacace, founder of childrenswear label Bébé Moiré.

I am raising emergency funds needed for an Indian family who I've been in contact with since 2010. Back then, when I visited their small family-run eco farm and NGO in far Eastern Rajasthan, we worked together to produce a beaded jewellery collection and sold these pieces through Incu and Husk Stores in Australia and at Beams in Japan. You might remember!

This community relies solely on tourism, and since the Covid pandemic took hold in India, the site has been left dry and outcast from all resources. Without access to government support, funds and even food handouts, this family and surrounding rural desert communities cannot meet their daily survival needs.

I have worked with their leader Pabu, to come up with a business idea doing what he knows best: herding animals, once camels, this time goats! Bringing immediate nourishment to an otherwise starving family, as well as hair for the weaving of carpets (another of the local artisan skills I witnessed back in 2010). Following the first breeding season, there will be potential for additional and ongoing income.

Here we have #GOATFUNDME aiming to raise funds to help save the lives literally of this desert-dwelling family.
