Bring Cesar Home
Donation protected
On Tuesday February 14th (2023) while returning home to Arkansas from their dream wedding in Mexico, Megan Taylor and Cesar Acosta were stopped by U.S. authorities in Houston International airport in question of Mr. Acosta’s citizenship.
Cesar Acosta, a 28 year old legal permanent resident since 2009, was separated from his wife and his phone confiscated. In the proceeding 48 hours his partner, with help of immigration attorneys, sought to communicate with Mr.Acosta and answers from U.S authorities.
For 48 hours, Mr. Acosta patiently waited as U.S Authorities processed paperwork for his transportation to the ICE facilites in Houston, TX where he is now being held.
While attorneys reassure Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) do not have a case on Mr. Acosta, they continue to keep him in custody for a mandatory two week quarantine despite having tested negative for COVID.
Arkansas’ congressman Womack’s legal team has been notified of the situation and has ensured their support in Mr. Acosta’s release “as quickly as possible”.
Friends and family eagerly await Mr. Acosta’s safe return as his wife continues to work diligently with immigration attorneys in Houston.
A gofundme has been set up in support of Cesar to assist with legal fee’s and to spread awareness of the situation.
We thank you for donations, big or small. Prayers alike are welcome and greatly appreciated.
Please share this article to help bring justice to the Acosta’s.
