PLEASE HELP ANDREW KANE AND HIS FAMILY

Hi,

My name is Melissa. I have been in the Bayshore area all my life. I have 3 teenagers. One of them has special needs. Andrew has autism, auto-immune disorder and seizure disorder. He is also a transplant recipient. He had a life-saving liver transplant at 7 months old due to Biliary Atresia. Recently Andrew began having seizures and behaviors that are not typical for him. He has been struggling to carry out daily life functions. Everyone has had a difficult time since the pandemic began but it has been especially hard for the special needs population. Our family recently suffered a job loss and now a job with half the salary. We recently found out that we need to move because my landlord needs to sell the property we live in. To say that everything seems to be crashing down at once is an understatement.

Andrew has been undergoing lots of medical treatment to hopefully get his seizures and erratic behavior under control. Our bank account has been drained and we are faced with having to move.

I have never had to put my issues out there and ask for help in this way. I don't know what else to do. We need a safe place to live and I am praying that this year brings health and peace for my Andrew.

I am hoping to raise money so that we can use some for unpaid medical bills and toward the huge security deposit we need to move ASAP.

If anyone knows us, they know that we are hard-working people who want nothing more than a simple life with peace and health for our children.

No amount is too small and anything that you can do to help my family get back on track and help Andrew get his seizures under control would be amazing.
