The Phillips Academy - Safe Zone & Secured Entry
Tax deductible
Family and Friends,
We invite you to make a charitable contribution to The Phillips Academy this Giving Tuesday and holiday season!
We are currently raising money to transform our front lawn into a new safe zone and secured entrance to the school. This newly expanded space will allow our students to socialize in a more secured rec area, and it will also provide a more protective space for student pick-up and drop-off.
This improvement project is planned Spring 2020 and is estimated to cost $30,000- $40,000. Your donation will go directly to helping create a safer school setting and improve our students' daily experience!
We successfully completed the basketball court in the courtyard last year with your help. The increase in energy level has been palpable between the bouncing of the basketballs and the interactions of the students. We are looking to build on our impact from last year, and expand our available outdoor social and recreational space to the front entrance of our campus. Because the security and safety of our students is our highest priority, we need your help to create this safe zone and secured front entrance.
Thank you so much for your support!
The Phillips Academy, located in Alameda, CA, is a small non-profit middle and high school that has been serving public school students with special needs from the Greater Bay Area for over 45 years. We provide a calm, safe, and therapeutic environment for students with complex behavioral, social, emotional and educational needs.
(The Phillips Academy was originally incorporated as a non-profit as the Institute of Human Behavior, Research, and Education.)
