Help Cameron Heal and Thrive

To all my family and friends and anyone who knows and loves Cameron. We, as a family, have decided to run this GoFundMe in hopes to help us with the financial situation that is happening and the unknown of what this is all costing. We have no idea how this works or have a number in mind. We are just grateful for the love and support that we are getting from everyone reaching out.

Cameron's journey started on March 28th. He was playing baseball, his favorite sport, and left mid-game not feeling good. A few days in, we took him to prompt care, and they confirmed just a normal virus flu and to rest. Cameron, at this time, was very fatigued, had no energy, and was sleeping all night and most of the day. He had a horrific cough and had a hard time breathing. His eyes were bloodshot red and he had a low-grade fever consistently through this journey. We went to our pediatrician who confirmed double ear infections and thought his eyes and cough were related. On Sunday the 6th, we didn’t think the medication was working and took him to Enloe. Enloe confirmed pneumonia, switched medication, and refused to keep him, sending him home. Sadly, the next day my son broke out in a horrible rash and was declining. We gave prompt care one more visit that morning because we couldn’t understand why he was getting worse and with the type of feedback that was given and the care. Mom's instincts kicked in and with support from family and friends, I made the decision to rush him to UCDavis Hospital in Sacramento.

By the time we were checked in and ready to be seen, Cameron took a fall and passed out. God had a plan and put us right where we needed to be in that very moment.

We have confirmed the virus that is giving him pneumonia and are working on another virus that is giving him his skin rash. He has shown huge improvement with fluids and new medication and the consistent treatment from the doctors here. This has been a long 13-day journey for us.

We are hopeful that Cameron will be coming home in the next few days. This journey has created mom being away from work and money spent to stay down at the hospital. We have no idea of the cost of everything but with two different hospital visits, multiple visits to immediate care and pediatric visits it’s a little concerning. Again, we are not sure what to expect, but this has been a hit we didn’t expect financially to come. Thank you for the understanding and support. We appreciate you and taking the time to read his journey. Let’s pray to get Cameron back to his full glory.
