King family fire

Hi, I’m fundraising for Shemar King and his family. On August 13 just after noon, Shemar got a shocking phone call informing him that his families home was on fire. Thankfully, everyone is safe and accounted for. His mom and his younger brothers were away, Shemar was at work at the daycare, as was his brother, and his grandpa was not home. During the fire, his cat Mylo was found unconscious and firefighters gave him some oxygen and he seems to be doing ok now, just being monitored. His cat Jazzy, who was found hours after the fire was hiding in the basement and is also safe and being monitored. Both cats are safe and being taken care of by close friends/family.

Unfortunately, the fire did a lot of damage to their home that it is not safe to live there. Shemar and his family are in a tough spot financially due to this. Not much is salvageable from the home due to things simply just melting in the fire or smoke damage.

We’re very thankful and grateful to the Mississauga Fire Department for their help and would be very grateful for any generous donations that would help Shemar and his family get back on their feet and towards living their normal life again.
