A Little Girl in Need

Hi, we are Stephanie and Winnie Eaton, an aunt and grandmother to a beautiful 13 year-old girl. We are reaching out with the hope that you may be able to help us and our family with a crisis that is tearing our family apart. Our darling girl Alyvea has struggled throughout her life to both fit in and understand the world around her.

She was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ASD, a few years ago and since has been diagnosed with more mental disorders and needs. She has been spinning out of control and we are fearful for her well-being. We have exhausted every avenue for a place for our girl to get the therapy and aid she so desperately needs. Her Father and Stepmother along with their two other sons have all been damaged throughout all of this, as well as our little girl has talked about suicide many times. She has been in hospitals for short stints but things just seem to be getting worse for both herself and her family. We have been involved with the Health Care System and see that many programs provide the bare bones of care and cannot deliver what she truly needs. We are afraid that our little girl is going to slip through the cracks of the system and will one day be on the streets. She is in need of a facility that can provide the help she needs, but these are costly. She needs a facility like Venture Academy which is located in Barrie, ON. The cost is $1,500 for admission and then $575 per day totaling over $15,000 for the 30-Day Assessment.

We are hoping that you can put yourselves into our shoes or if you have or know someone with mental health needs, that you already know the heartache our family has been facing. We just want to help. We are so desperate and in need of help. Help us to provide for our little girl.
