Help Give Sweet Family a Blessed Christmas ❤️

Hi, my name is Jacci and I was previously a special education teacher. My husband and I are fundraising on behalf of the Acevedo family. This is a previous student of mine, Juan. I have known him and his family for 7+ years and Juan was in my class for 5 years. I have grown very close to this special family and have become invested in their well-being.

Juan lives with his 2 brothers, (Rene and Carlitos) and his mom, Ninette. Juan and his brothers all live with autism and life can be very challenging most of the time. Ninette has shown strength, resilience, and such beautiful care and compassion for her family despite the difficulties they face on a daily basis. She is a single mom raising her boys in a world that does not give her enough support to provide for her sons and live a healthy lifestyle for herself. She compromises her own health and well-being for her boys and committed herself to learning to speak English on her own. Ninette works tirelessly to provide financially as well, but it is nearly impossible for her to make ends meet because of the time and work she has to dedicate to the safety of her children. She is only able to work while the boys are in school and unfortunately, there just aren’t enough resources available to help her

Last Christmas, we learned that the family had never been able to celebrate Christmas because of their financial status. My husband and I were able to provide some gifts for mom and the boys, but quickly learned that many of the toys/tools the boys need/want are quite pricey as many are specifically designed for people with disabilities. I can’t stress enough how truly deserving this family is. Ninette and her sons are worthy of so much more out of life. So I am asking you this holiday season, if you are looking to support a family in need, that you consider donating any small amount to the Acevedo’s.

This money will be used to get toys and gifts for the boys for Christmas, to gift their beautiful mom some basic conveniences that she deserves, and to provide some essentials for the family entering into the new year. We appreciate your support and can’t wait to show this family what community can do (mom needs to know she is not alone in this world!) and how truly magical the holidays can be.
