On what should have been just another ordinary day, Patrick set off on his usual jog to the local boxing gym—a place and sport he loves, But Tragically his journey was cut short as Patrick was struck by a speeding car in a hit-and-run accident as he was crossing the road. The driver never stopped, leaving him seriously injured and fighting for his life.

Patrick suffered horrendous injuries, including broken legs a shattered pelvis a fractured skull and a bleed to the brain, He is currently in hospital, facing the reality that he may never box again and preparing himself mentally for a long and painful recovery ahead. What should have been a bright chapter in his young life has now become a fight just to heal and rebuild.

Patrick is a kind, and determined teenager and we are all hoping the mental and physical recovery is a speedy one, His family and friends are devastated at what has happened, but we are also determined to help him through this. Recovery that will take months, very likely longer and will involve intensive rehabilitation and specialist care. It will also mean time away from the sport he loves and also added financial strain, and countless unexpected costs.

This fundraiser has been set up to support Patrick and his family during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly towards easing the burden of transport, rehabilitation expenses, equipment to help his recovery, and the practical costs of daily life while he is unable to support himself.
