Hi my name is Luna, and i’m starting a fundraiser for my grandmother. On January 26, my 83-year-old grandmother became the victim of a scam. My Oma is the nicest person ever, she always sees the good in everybody , she helped me my whole life and now I wanna help her.

She was called on two lines at the same time and was told that my mother was in the emergency room and urgently needed money for a special therapy in Switzerland or else she would die. They knew her name, my moms name, which city she lives in, and they were playing a voice in the background crying and asking for help, which sounded like my mom.

Because my grandmother is older and was barely aware of such fraud cases, she believed them. She handed over all of her savings. Everything she had saved up for decades. You might say how could she but she would have never thought there are people out there that play with somebody’s life. She is still in shock and has no idea how she could fall for it, but those people know how to trigger the emotion of an old lady.

That is why I have started a GoFundMe, hoping to give her back at least a sense of security and to show her that there is still good in this world.
