Refugee support

I have been honored to get to know a beautiful inside-and-out friend, who happens to be here in the United States as a refugee. She is intelligent, thoughtful, caring, and capable.  She has worked hard to pave her own way as a single woman in the human rights and humanitarian field helping other women who have been subject to emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, earning her education and excellent work experience.  She currently is working part-time until she can find a full-time job to support herself fully financially.  As part of the difficulty of being a refugee, she is constantly fighting for her visas, housing, work permits, and her chance to be in the job market. These are real challenges to overcome.  Also, as is often the case with refugee woman, she has been through many atrocious persecutions before she came safely to the U.S. and since she has been here.  She has been diagnosed with PTSD and depression and is working with a therapist to process her traumas.  I only share this so that you can understand why as her friend I am coming beside her in her pain and difficulty, to lift her up and ease her burden. 

With God’s grace, she has found a housing situation that could finally be a safe place for her to heal, be close to work and in a location that she doesn’t need the extra expense of a car.  Please help me give her this chance to move into a safe place, allowing her time and comfort to heal from her trauma, and give her more opportunities to secure a full-time job.
