3rd Annual McDougall-Hunt Neighborhood Giving Tree

Donation protected
For the 3rd year in a row, we are keeping on the tradition from one of the first police stations in the US. Giving back to the Community. ( see story below)

This year we have the privilege to help three low-income families and their children who live in our Mcdougall-Hunt neighborhood. We will be partnering with the Bailey Park Project, iHeartKids, and Mcdougall-Hunt Neighborhood Association to complete our fundraising goals. We ask for your assistance in helping us to bring joy to low-income families during this holiday season.

Covid-19 has affected us all in different ways, however, low-income families who are already vulnerable have been affected far more severely. We believe it's our job as a community to stand up for those who need our assistance and keep each other close. Any donation will go a long way to bringing joy to these families in an extremely stressful time.

Between the three families, there are eight children. The children have asked for a wide range of things from a doll-house to a camera for photography, rollerskates, and clothes. let's put a smile on their faces this holiday season!

Donate at least $35 and receive a one of a kind Hunt Street Station beanie!

HISTORY OF GIVING TREE

Back in 1908, Captain Marquardt of Detroit's Metropolitan Police Department started a tradition of having a Christmas tree in the lobby of Hunt Street Station. Both the station's officers and members of the public placed gifts and money under the tree so that every child in the neighborhood could have a merry Christmas.  Now, for the third time since reopening as a coworking space, we continue this tradition. Please join us in making the holidays just a little bit better for the children of Detroit by supporting the Hunt Street Station giving tree.

As part of the initiative, all proceeds from our fundraising will go to support the three families in our neighborhood. Their needs range from the essentials like shoes and winter clothing to toys and gifts that will make this holiday season really special. Please support our efforts in any way you can.

Thank you,

Matt, Sina, and Alex
