My name is Johnny Powers, and I am the son of Jayme Powers. I am raising funds to send her to Hawaii for the trip of her life. My mother is currently battling stage four lung cancer, and I want to give her the gift she has always wanted.

This fundraiser is super important to me because my mother is the most selfless person on this earth. She is a model of strength and has endured more than anyone should have. She has battled breast cancer (and won!), severe hearing loss, and stage 4 lung cancer. She has undergone six treatments of chemotherapy and continues taking immunotherapy.

My mother is a grandmother to three beautiful girls. She loves her family and would do anything for anyone in need. She is more than a mom; she is a superhero. I love her and want to make her dream of going to Hawaii a reality.

Her doctor (Rao) has decided to discontinue chemotherapy to focus on her quality of life. He has encouraged her to take the big trips and to celebrate each day as if it is the last.
