Marathon for Malawi

Help me raise funds to support the construction of additional clean water supply as well as the addition of solar electricity in teacher housing at the Harris High School in Likwakwanda, Malawi, Africa! In order to attract talented teachers from neighboring Malawian villages, Harris High School provides on-site housing. Warm Heart Ministries is in the process of adding solar-powered electricity to teacher residences so that their capacity for lesson planning, grading, etc. is not restricted to daylight hours. The people of Malawi have a special place in my heart and the heart of the entire Spesia family after my grandparents' travels back in 2005 and our subsequent friendship with Fr. Phillip Mbeta. Driven by the hard work and innovation of Fr. Phillip coupled with the fundraising and generosity of Warm Heart Ministries and Rotary International, what began as a friendship blossomed into a preschool, a sewing trade school, and most recently, a high school.
