Hi, I'm Haze!

I'm looking to get top surgery as soon as I'm able to, this has been a really long time coming for me, but I'm now in a place where I'm taking further steps towards being comfortable in my body and mind.

What top surgery means to me is getting to wear clothes without their main intention being to hide my chest. Not wearing multiple layers in hot weather, or limiting to certain designs, colours and cuts. To walk, stand and sit without being conscious of how my chest appears during every second, and hurting my back and shoulders in the process. To get to go swimming in the sea in the summer with everyone else. To be able to run (something I really enjoy) without wearing extra small or multiple sports bras that cause me to struggle to breathe. Being able to just throw on a t-shirt or whatever clothes feel comfortable and go to the shop without spending a long time over contemplating it before leaving the house. To be able to stretch in public! And actually breathing/moving my body naturally without always constricting and modifying it. And also, to look in the mirror and actually see a body that feels like me.

It's becoming increasingly unbearable day by day, and at it's worse I just want to tear off my skin and not carry this literal, but also metaphorical, weight any longer.

It's so difficult to ask for financial help, and I've struggled with the idea of doing so, but those who have experience with this will know it's a really expensive procedure here in the UK. It’s going to cost £10,000+ in total and I am looking for any support possible with the costs. I’m hoping to raise £5-7,000 - whilst I try and raise the additional funds in other means, but I'm also looking into having the surgery abroad where it could be closer to £5-7k total.
