Joey Bags are Back! Now in its 6th year! I am creating this fundraiser once again to coincide with Joey's 6th anniversary in heaven❤️ Thank you to those who have so generously supported this fundraiser in the past that is so very close to my heart❤️ For those who are not familiar with "Joey Bags ", it is a labor of love that was started after Joey's passing in 2019. It began with small items placed in small plastic bags with hats, gloves, and a few toiletries to be given out whenever I would encounter a homeless person. I called these bags "Joey Bags " because even during Joey's worst times, he always had empathy, particularly for the homeless whom he always gave to. I am happy to say that every year these Bags have been bigger and better! With your generosity, last year we were able to fill close to 70 nylon tote bags containing hats, gloves, scarves, $10 Dunkin cards, toiletries, first aid kits, wipes, nail clippers, snacks, feminine products, and more! Every year in November, which is the month of giving, these bags are taken to the Bowery Mission, which is a homeless shelter in NYC, where they are very much needed. They are distributed to the homeless who wait in line for these necessities. "Joey Bags" are very popular with the Bowery Mission. On the Anniversary week of Joey's passing, I can think of no better way to remember him❤️ I thank each one of you who supports "Joey Bags"❤️
