In Senya Beraku, Ghana, I met some of the most extraordinary people I've ever known — children, students, volunteers, and caregivers who radiate so much love and hope, despite facing tremendous challenges.

This GoFundMe is dedicated to one clear purpose: giving them the opportunity to access education and create lasting change in their lives.

While education may feel like a given for many of us, in Ghana it’s a luxury that often remains out of reach — due to poverty, lack of resources, and daily survival needs. With your help, we can change some lives.

The funds raised will support three causes, very dear to my heart:

1. Becky’s Orphanage: Building an Academic Foundation

Not only are the children at Becky’s some of the cutest and sweetest kiddos you will meet, they are also bright, eager, and full of potential. Many have come from traumatic backgrounds and have found safety, stability, and a sense of family at Becky’s Orphanage.

But it’s hard to thrive in school without the basics. That’s why we’re raising funds to provide:

These aren’t extras — they’re essentials. Every child deserves the tools to learn, stay healthy, and dream big. With your support, we can help these little ones build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

2. Isaac Kofi Bombua: A Story of Perseverance and Promise

Isaac grew up at Becky’s. He worked incredibly hard, graduated at the top of his class, and has now been accepted to study Medical Science at the University of Arizona, with most of his tuition covered by a scholarship. The only thing holding him back is a $450 registration fee. Once that’s paid, he can start this next chapter. This is a small amount with a huge impact — your support can help him take that final step.

3. Tina & Zazuu: The Team Behind the Kids — Building Their Own Path Forward

Tina works full-time as a chef with Becky’s foundation while studying on weekends for a Bachelor of Education. She wants to become a social worker and give back to her community — but further study is financially out of reach. Zazuu, the volunteer coordinator, works long hours every day supporting both volunteers and his family. He’s determined to study Computer Science, but tuition is not possible without outside support. They’ve both put others first for years. Now, we want to help these two incredible individuals take the next step for themselves.
