Please help a small non-profit karate club
Donation protected
Hi my name is Katie and I'm raising funds for a small family run Karate club, Ippon-Do Honbu Dojo, based in Leeds, England. We have students from the age of 4 up to 21 years of age varying in level of abilities from beginners to black belts.
We have 3 World Champions, 2 European Champions and are represented in the Kenshin Karate Organisation (KKO) GB Team. Some of our students are neurologically diverse and are diagnosed on the autism spectrum, one of them being World & European Champion. We are very proud of their achievements as we champion being an inclusive club for all.
One of our Senseis' is also a World Union of Karate-Do Federations (WUKF) World Chief Referee.
All of our students train in a purpose built dojo based in the Senseis' back garden to keep costs down.
At present we are extending the dojo to give more space and accommodate more equipment. This enables us to provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all our students.
All monies collected from training fees etc go straight back to the students and is run as a non profit club as the Sensei trains the students for free.
Due to the expansion of our back garden facilities we require more training mats to ensure the floor is a suitable surface to safely teach on. The cost of new mats is approximately £1,000 and as we try to keep costs low, per training session, we are struggling to find the funds to purchase them. We would also like to buy the students tracksuits so they can proudly represent our small club with pride. We estimate the cost of tracksuits to be around £400. We would appreciate any amount that could be donated to help us keep investing in our students and those of the future who may want to join us.
