My name is Emily Meek and I am about to be a senior at Castle View High School. My school does an amazing week of events each year and we call it Make A Difference week, or MAD week, in which we choose a charity to sponsor and raise as much money as we can for. For the past two years we have chosen to sponsor Challenging Heights in Ghana. Challenging Heights is a school that rescues children from slavery and human trafficking in order to help rehabilitate them.  In the coming school year, I am being given the opportunity to go to Ghana and cmoplete service projects with these children. Our itinerary includes, helping build and stock a new library, passing out Toms shoes, learning about the childhood marriage in Ghana, and working with an anti-slavery NGO.  I am looking forward to such an amazing trip and I hope you will give me the opportunity to go abroad and change the lives of these children!
