Hello everyone my name is Laura and I need your help. My daughter of two months old, Luciana, was recently in the hospital with a fractured skull. YES, every parent's worst nightmare. Here is my story..A little over a year ago, my fiancé, Eric, and I decided to have a baby. Then Lucy was born. She was so happy, so healthy, so loved and wanted. We are a very loving family, with many plans. Our little family, which includes my eight year old son, Adrian, and our dog, Vino, have been inseparable since the day she was born. Well, it was finally time for me to return to work. On my first day back, my fiancé and I dropped the baby off together at a daycare center. We were both nervous and scared but also very excited and curious to see how are baby would react in daycare setting. She was not the same, cheerful little girl that I had dropped off earlier that morning. When I walked into the daycare center later that day, the first thing I noticed was my daughter, crying in the same bassinet that I had left her in that morning. This cry was alarming to me because it was different than any other cry she had before. She just was not acting like herself. Something wasn't right. I picked her up, I put her in the car and we continued home. The next day, I brought Lucy to the doctors office and they recommended I take her to the emergency room right away. That is when we found out her skull had been fractured. That leads us to here. Upon being discharged from the hospital, she was not released into my care. Since the daycare denied any foul play and the fracture remains unexplained, Child protective services intervened and took her directly to a foster home. They are now accusing me of neglect and "waiting too long" to take her to the doctor. We are heartbroken. Lucy being away from her family, everything she has known her whole life. She has nothing but love from us and she needs to be returned home ASAP. Friends and family, we need your help. We are seeking funding to go towards attorney and legal fees. Since I have been on leave, I had not been working and we are struggling financially. We are trying the best we can for our daughter. She completes our family and we deserve a fair trial.
