Hello everyone,

My name is Ya Li，and I am 39 years old. My husband and I both work as food delivery drivers for Panda. We have always worked hard to support our family and never imagined that one day we would need to ask others for help.

In March this year, I started feeling unwell and went to the hospital. At first, I was diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis and took medication for more than a month, but my condition did not improve. I decided to return to China for further medical examinations, where I received the devastating diagnosis of advanced liver cancer.

Doctors told me that this illness may have a genetic component, so I asked my family members to undergo medical examinations as well. When the results came back, my world collapsed again: my mother was also diagnosed with mid-to-late stage cancer.

My husband and I are both only children. We have an 18-year-old daughter who has just completed her university entrance exams and is about to begin the next chapter of her life at university. At the same time, both my mother and I are fighting cancer.

The emotional and financial burden on our family has become overwhelming. My husband, who is only 42 years old, now carries the responsibility of supporting two cancer patients and our daughter’s education expenses. He had to return to work immediately because without income, we cannot afford medications and ongoing treatment.

I am only 39 years old. I am not ready to give up. I have not yet seen my daughter go to university, get married, or build her own family. My parents are now in their 60s, and I have not had the chance to repay them for all the love and sacrifices they have made for me.
