Hi, I’m Melissa, and I’m raising money to support my sister during an incredibly difficult time.

She has been in and out of the hospital this year, leaving her unable to work. When she finally tried to return, she discovered—at the last possible moment—that her doctor no longer accepted her insurance. She has exhausted every option, reaching out to specialists and the hospital itself, but no one can sign the forms she needs until further tests are run.

Meanwhile, everything she has worked so hard to build is unraveling.

My sister has no idea I’m doing this, but I can’t sit by and watch her struggle another day. She is the hardest-working person I know—a single mom who has spent most of her adult life juggling one or two jobs to give her kids everything they need and deserve. Before her hospital stays, she worked two full-time jobs, barely sleeping, but always showing up for her children. Now, through no fault of her own, she’s stuck in a cycle she can’t escape alone.

Time is Running Out

Her electricity is due in just five days—if unpaid, it will be shut off. Her rent is due the following week—and where she lives, late payments lead to eviction notices.

Her car has a flat tire. Her push mower is broken. Park regulations require lawn maintenance, but right now, she can’t fix any of it.
