Emergency Flood Relief for Kuta Lombok – AnakAlam

Recent devastating storms have severely impacted many local and displaced families in the Kuta Lombok Area. Winds have been destroying roofs, and the floods have been overwhelmingly terrible. The community is facing unprecedented challenges, with many lacking basic necessities such as shelter, food, clean water, and medical supplies.

There has been lots of support, and we are extremely grateful. Anak Alam, along with Dewi from Lombok Aid and parent of one of our students, have been working around the clock since Sunday to find out more about the most effective communities and to distribute food packages (sembakos). Yesterday, Lombok Aid and Anak Alam, with the support of community donations, were able to distribute 70 sembakos to a village on the beach that has recently been displaced within the past year.

The Lombok community has been incredible, and has collected a lot of donations. There are lots of villages who have been impacted, and there are lots of people outside of Indonesia, who wish to support, hopefully this makes it a lot easier for international friends, and family to chip in. So, we are launching this GoFundMe campaign to provide immediate assistance to those affected. Our goal distribute sembakos and other needs to over 200 families to support relief efforts, including:

- Sembakos (boxes filled with basic necessities, including, but not limited to uncooked rice, cooking oil, noodles, chili, eggs, etc.)

- Materials to improve shelter and housing materials for displaced families.

- Medical supplies for arising issues such as pneumonia, flu etc.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by this disaster. Your support will help restore hope and rebuild the community.
