IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD

Hello, my name is Anyelys Helliger. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, and for the past 15 years, I've dedicated my life to education at a Charter School. I've worked with kids for 18 years, and my passion for supporting, empowering kids and giving back to the community has been a fire in me since I was 16.

From organizing toy drives and other community events, I've always believed in the power of connection and service. This year, I'm taking a leap of faith to bring a longtime dream to life: Launching a kids’ summer camp that will one day grow into a community center, serving children and families across all FIVE boroughs of NYC.

It's not a large goal, but this will allow us to hit the ground running and give our babies the best summer, which would allow us to continue to grow and bring more to the community.

This center will be a space where passion meets purpose, academics, social-emotional learning, character development, creativity and faith. It's about creating a safe space where our kids can thrive away from the streets.

Although I am charging a small fee to keep it accessible, it's not enough to cover all of our essentials startup costs, desks, chairs, books and other supplies.

Any contribution—big or small—will make a difference. Even a like or a share can help us spread the word!

With your help, we can give our kids an unforgettable summer and take our first step toward building a resource that will serve generations to come.
