My mothers road to recovery!

Donation protected
Let me start off by saying thank you to family & friends that have been reaching out regarding my mother in this sudden transition we have experienced during these last few weeks. Most of you don’t know, my mother was recently hospitalized. This came from a dramatic change of events with symptoms of dizziness, confusion, speech delay, and walking activity. My mom has had fluid in her brain for some time now (brain surgery needed in the near future), which has caused complications with an increased dose of meds. She left the hospital with a misdiagnosis of Bell's palsy. Discharged from the hospital, she was sent to rehab where she has been on a journey to walk again & talk efficiently with less confusion. With weeks going by & the grace of God, my mom is finally home. Since leaving hospitals, she is now homebound due to her conditions. Here she has a PT coming to her home along with a few other services. Unfortunately, this journey has been a battle after a battle even with the few services she does have for the time being. The medication she is on had a side effect of alopecia. As you all know, she has had her dreads for over 20+ years! She now had to shave all her hair off due to the severity of the side effects. Mentally, physically & emotionally, this has all been so hard on her! All this has been so scary for her kids as this was such a HUGE life-changing situation that happened within a blink of an eye. Watching her struggle, cry, but keep trying to be strong has been terrifying. We have been doing all we can on our side, but she needs ALL of the support she can get from her family & friends. She gets asked all the time, what do you need? The answer is this right here: GoFundMe. She is a single mother of an autistic son. (If you know, it’s not easy) So with her condition and STILL trying her absolute best to deal with my brother, it has been so hard. ANYTHING, no matter how small, will come a long way for her and him. Bills on top of bills, plus food expenses because she can’t cook as much. Necessities for the house since there’s no leaving anytime soon. It’s all needed! So as I end this off, I wanna say I thank God because guess what?!! SHES STILL HERE & SHES STILL FIGHTING each and every day! Her strength and love of God have kept her alive and in great spirits no matter what trials and tribulations she faces & for that, she will be blessed! Thank you all so much & if nothing else, PRAYERS go a long way!
