Hello! My name is Taylor, and I am an Ocean City Boardwalk manager in New Jersey.

This summer, my cousin and her partner started college close to me this year, bringing us closer than ever. She and her girlfriend do not want to leave the area for the summer, lose one of their jobs, and move back home. Due to my position, I am able to secure a second job for my cousin and hire her partner; however, the issue of housing has been brought up.

I have been able to locate temporary housing; however, with them being first-year college students and I, being in school myself, trying to hold down 2 part-time jobs and take care of my 2 children, we do not currently have the finances to secure the temporary housing until the summer picks up. I would just be looking to raise enough to get them in for the first few weeks as they need to be out of their dorms by May 9th. I know once the summer gets going consistently, I will be able to help more financially, but until the summer starts, I feel helpless.

We both come from a family that has not been the best support for our entire lives and since my mom died, I have felt the need to ensure my younger brother and cousin are taken care of. Thank you!

Thanks to my wondeful amazing friends from afar I’ve been able to solidify housing for the beginning of the summer! Unfortunately I do like somewhat close to a shore town so the last half of summer is a little more rough but hey I didn’t think I would even get here and humanity continues to surprise me thank you all so much for your love and support!
