3d-printed face-shields

Donation protected

I started printing face shields for my local hospital about two weeks ago, and since then, more and more organisations have come to me asking for shields. As of yesterday I have delivered 635, but the orders keep coming and are getting larger.

The 3d-printed visors help front-line staff who are in close contact with people who may be infected with COVID-19 to avoid infection from water droplets that naturally happen when people cough, talk, or even just breath.

The biggest issue I have is the huge amount of acetate and 3d printer filament that gets consumed by this project. Every sheet of acetate is a shield visor, and every roll of filament is about 60 shield frames.

I am down to 2 spare rolls of filament at the moment. I have more ordered in, but at the rate orders are increasing, I don't know how long that will last either.

Monaghan Town Team (events organisers) and Monaghan Town Runners are sponsoring me for this, but I can't just rely on their generosity.

I know that a lot of you are sitting at home wishing you could help. This is how you can help - donate to this project, and every 20 euro creates about 50 visors that will help save lives.

I have delivered to places as far apart as Armagh, Galway, and Dublin.

Please help keep this going. We need to keep delivering the shields as long as they are necessary.

€500 will make about 1500 visors. The more that is donated, the more I can make.
