We are a group of students and young adults who created a network of enthusiastic

makers and volunteers to make inpatient stays for pediatric patients more

enjoyable. And for the cost of one coffee, You can help 3 kids each!

Through Project Ray, we inspire children’s creativity in our collaborating hospitals to

shape and create something new out of their imagination and at same time introduce

them into the world of modern prototyping.

How it works:

1. Children with inpatient hospital stays receive a small kit of playdough to channel their creativity

2. We transform their creation into a real toy using 3D printing

3. They enjoy their toy while finishing their stay

Thanks to our volunteers and partners, we only need to finance the cost for the materials (e.g. filament and playdough).

This is only about $1.50 per toy. That means for:

Our initial goal is to gift 100 kids this special experience, but we hope to expand our

program for even more children and on a permanent basis in the future.
