Hey there everyone! I am so excited to announce this amazing opportunity I have been given to go teach physical education at a High School in Quito, Ecuador for the month of February 2024.

I will be partnering up with Alliance Academy International,  a private, co-educational, international, Christian school located in Quito, Ecuador, with a curriculum based on a United States program of education.

This school serves many nationalities in an English immersion setting with a Christian worldview.

When I heard about this opportunity, I was resistant for many reasons but a huge reason was fear of the unknown.

What about the language barriers? Who will I know there? How will I communicate? Will the students like me? Josh and I will be a part for two months? All of these doubts and questions flooded my head.

About a month ago with a lot of prayer and thought Josh and I both decided that although these doubts are normal to have, we don't want to have this limit us from what God is placing on each others hearts. And this is what He has placed on mine in this season, serving a diverse community and growing in my teaching abilities.

I have such a heart for the nations, building others up, serving youth, as well as putting my education into use.

For those of you who don't know I completed my Single Subject Teaching credential in physical education this December. I'M FINALLY DONE! And what a better way to celebrate... go to a foreign nation and teach what I love! I also am so excited for the challenges that will come in teaching somewhere I have never been and all of the knowledge I will get to bring back with me to the states. 

Josh will continue to work back at home when I’m away and once I come back in February I will start applying for physical education positions in our area for the Fall and hopefully will land one!
